I'm not sure if you like sweets much, but consider this an offering of friendship from me. I hope, for what it may be worth, you enjoy your time here, and please don't hesitate to ask for help with anything if necessary.
Thanks a lot for the delicious treat! It’s fantastic news that you got your deck back, maybe we can play some time in the future! Did you get your duel disc and duel gazer back as well?
Wishing you well! -Rei
PS: I hope you like sweets ^o^ [Enclosed: with a light dusting of powdered sugar added.]
Aw that's a shame. But, meaning well, you could borrow one of mine if you'd like!
A Duel Gazer is the part of the Duel Disc that you wear on your head. You use it to connect to the AR vision that allows you to see your monsters, data, cards, short everything of a duel.
...that actually sounds pretty useful to have, though I'm afraid I have no clue what AR vision actually is. Is it a different type of Solid Vision system, or...?
[ he needs to know because he's just curious alright. ]
AR means Artificial Vision. It's like seeing things that only exist in the computer - like real visions or holograms, I guess. Well, they're not really real but you get what I mean, right? It's like that.
Isn't that the same? Few people will know you as intimately as the ones who really want to harm you. It's natural to want to know all you can about your enemy, after all.
[ He wanted to say that Kaiba's not like that, not after he let go (ha) of his past after Battle City, but then again...
He was like that during their first duel against each other. ]
It may sound the same, but the difference between friendship and hatred is that the latter can only bring forth either your own destruction or the other's.
[ Still, he's a bit surprised that this kid would know this concept pretty well. Personal experience, perhaps? ]
[Perhaps. Rei grins to himself as he reads those words, in a grim satisfied way that would have rung the warning bells in the head of anybody who would have seen it on him.
A kind of relationship that can only bring forth destruction, it is? Oh yes, that’s quite clear, and there’s no way to deny that. Especially when he is involved. But Atem doesn’t need to know that.
At least not that much, it’s enough if he knows him as Rei Shingetsu, a passionate but unfortunate duelist and occasional detective.]
That’s quite true! I once knew somebody who was that absorbed with hating somebody else and taking revenge on them for something that you could have mistaken them for the best of friends if it weren’t for the …Well, I guess you could call it a killing intent? When you put them in the same room you could just feel that it was a bad idea. It was scary!
[He adds a small pause for dramatic effect.]
Personally I don’t think that I could ever hate somebody that much. But, thinking positive, it’d be great if there were a way to turn those kinds of relationships into real friendships, right?
[ Truth be told, as long as one of the two kept believing in the other to have the capability to change, it's possible. But even that's a bit too optimistic for his taste. Still... ]
Yeah, there is. It might take a really long time, but really, it's possible as long as you keep on believing on the other.
[Vector has no clue, but he's generally good at underestimating everybody but himself unless they kicked his ass before. It's probably for the best that they both currently have no clue about what the other really can and has done.]
Yeah, it really is. Sometimes I wish that all that chaos with the key and the Barian world wouldn't have happened, but then, if it hadn't I wouldn't have met most of my friends. So even something like that has a good side to it.
[Yeah. It'd be like wife enemy swap, ygo edition.]
I'm sure they will. I only hope that the others have been telling me stories about what's going to happen next. I'd like to see the end of it, after all.

text; since it took him a bit to read that.
And I certainly haven't heard of this device called 'Duel Gazer'.

It's a shame technology isn't that advanced just yet back home, but it does sound that dueling must've been really amazing with all these advances.

How do you duel back were you come from if not with duel disks and D-gazers?

[ Or rather, don't. Considering how... unsocial that man can be. ]
